Affiliate Testimonials - 5 Tips That Will Help You Decide If this Business is For You or Not

I am here to tell you the whole truth and this is probably not the most usual of affiliate testimonials! I started internet marketing in January 2009 totally green. I knew how to surf the internet, research and write emails. That was it. A friend had been talking to me for about a year about affiliate marketing but I kept shutting him off thinking it was all a scam and another get quick rich scheme.

Oh, how I almost hate myself for ignoring his advice. Why? Because I had the time last year, and I would be a lot further along in this business and making tons more if I had started last year!

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I read tons of affiliate testimonials before diving into any one program and I know that those are what convinced me to settle on ONE place to learn about affiliate marketing. Maybe you have read other affiliate testimonials and already have heard how great affiliate marketing is, and how you can make money, but many people leave out the hard parts and don't fill you in with the the whole truth!

Affiliate marketing is NOT easy. I mean, its easy to grasp the concepts once you are taught, but putting it those concepts into action is another story. Thats why so many people fail after trying to make money online.

    First off you can't try affiliate marketing. You have to make a decision that you will make this work as if your life depended on it.Set a time limit of at least a year to prove to yourself that you did everything you could before you gave up.Set a budget into how much you will spend.

    Second, don't think you will be making money at first. You might get a lucky sale here and there, but there is NO WAY you will make money without having 3 of you and more than 24 hours in a day - at first! It comes with time and perseverance.

    Third. You need to have patience. It's not easy putting in a lot of effort into one campaign and then not seeing sales. Sometimes it just doesn't work out, but sometimes it does. There are a lot of factors that go into making a campaign successful and you have to root out those problem areas.

    Fourth you need to focus. Its one of the hardest things to do. Especially when you are not seeing success so you bounce around the internet buying one book after another that promises you success. The only way you will see success is by sticking with one plan, focus and don't get caught up into the latest marketing strategy that promises you thousands.

    Lastly - Begin with the end in mind. What are your long term goals. Picture yourself 5 years from now. Do you want to be in the same job that you are in now? If no, why and how can you change that? If you think the internet is a solution to making a living, then treat it like a business and become a professional. Don't even think that it is the easy way out. It's not. Affiliate marketing takes time, energy, patience and perseverance. You HAVE TO HAVE A BURNING DESIRE TO FULFILL THOSE LONG TERM GOALS. Your solution is making affiliate marketing work.
